Required Zoom Level

Can you give some indication as to the minimum number of tiles required to download to obtain all street labels for an area without having to do the max size download. Also, when offline, limit the zoom to not exceed the limit of the tiles loaded. Keeps from getting a blank screen.

    Maybe when choosing the download size, the app could show a part of the map at full zoom level or something so we know how detailed the map is at that zoom.

    I would also suggest to either show a preview of a part of the map when selecting the amount of tiles or maybe have detail level presets to be used for several purposes. It is quite hard to decide the right tile setting currently.

    I too think that zoom should be limited to what has been downloaded. I dislike seeing blank tiles and then figuring out what's going on.

    I've found that almost all street names appear by zoom level 15. I rarely go further down than that.

    Rather than not allowing you to zoom beyond the tiles you have, an elegant solution is to overzoom the tiles you do have. You can still info, and it's obvious when a tile is overzoomed. Even better, those tiny names appear larger when a tile is overzoomed.
